Web Design the easy way!
Who is Inkprince?
Inkprince™ is a small woman-owned company that specializes in "ooak"
colorful and creative, original web and graphic design.
Since 2002, I have worked exclusively with
"work-at-home-moms", helping them start successful online stores.
How did you get started?
I am an artist, also known as "ink".
In 1998, I tried to bring my art business (The
Prints of Inkland) online. After 3 years, hiring
several "way too expensive web designers", and
spending thousands of wasted dollars, I still had a website that
said "UNDER CONSTRUCTION". I was determined to find an
easier and cheaper way. Then, I found wahm services,
Tony, and the "work at home mom" support community.
And within just a few days, and a little guidance, I was
able to set up my very own "first" website.
The only problem is (if you can remember
how the internet looked back in 2002
clinical-plain-boring-ugly-frames) it was plain and
"UGLY". So with my passionate artistic ability,
and my OCD design needs, I was able to create some cute
graphics, and a really cool layout, that gave my boring
website look ~some real spark and personality! Polkadots,
stripes, and colors, oh yes? I am certain that I was the
original, polka dot web designer.
At that time, there weren't any
other stores on the web, that looked like mine. As soon
as the girls in the wahm community saw it, they ALL
wanted their stores redone with my "one-of-a-kind" look.
So before I even opened my online "art" store, I had so
many website, design and graphic orders that I had to
start a waiting list. I worked days-nights-weekends,
learning-teaching-building and I really became an
overnight success. I didn't create my business, it
really created me. Soon after, I decided to go back to school,
to learn the technical knowledge that I needed, to take
this passion to the next level. And I decided to change
my business plans to reflect what I was actually doing!

What do you offer? Success, support, and style.

I want to help you stamp
your personality right into your online store. I love developing custom work. I
prepare samplers and let my clients choose what they like. I want them to create their own
unique fingerprint.  The whole process of opening an online store can be so confusing and so
intimidating, I want to make it easy. I have
taken the ecommerce development process and broken it down into easy to manage
steps.
Can you share your tips for survival and success?
Follow your passion, do what you love. Find out what
comes natural to you, and develop it. Have patience.
Strive for perfection, and go one step farther. Ask for
help. Be honest. Share. Put out what you want back,
karma is real! Be kind to others, and be good to
yourself.
What is the best advice you could offer to someone just
getting started?
Don't think it's going to be easy, you will get out of
it what you put into it! Do something every day to
promote your business. Make it a reflection of you. You
only have ONE reputation, make it good. Make sure your
appearance is professional, photos, web design are what
the public will judge your business and products on.
There is so much competition, you need to be unique.
What inspires you?
Kids, color, nature, harmony, balance, so many things,
but the most inspirational moments are in watching my
clients excitement!
